Please note that staff from the Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center (OCAC/PAC) will soon commence their annual dog census.

Starting June 1st, a number of OCAC/PAC Census team workers will begin going door-to-door to verify compliance with the Michigan State Dog Law of 1919 that requires all dogs to have a valid dog license. The census workers will be driving marked county vehicles and will be wearing county uniforms with proper identification. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the annual dog census, please contact Ms. Ines Gonzales, the Inside Census Team Leader, at (248) 394-0286.

Dog licenses are available at the Township Hall. A current rabies vaccination and spayed/neutered certificate is required to purchase or renew a dog license.  Please note that the Township accepts cash or check, along with limited credit card carriers, accompanied by a convenience fee. If you have any questions please contact the Treasurer’s Department at (248) 651-4440 ext 217, 213 or 212.

Additionally, dog licenses can also be purchased online at https://www.oakgov.com/petadoption. Please note that you must fax your rabies vaccination certificate to (248) 391-9266, e-mail it to petadoption@oakgov.com, or snail mail to 1700 Brown Road, Auburn Hills, MI  48326 if you choose this option.
