May 16 - Oxford Middle School
June 6 – Oakland University
August 22 – Independence Township DPW
September 19 – Orion Township, Wildwood Amphitheater
October 24 - OCC Highland Lakes, Waterford
Since 2007, the Charter Township of Oakland has been participating in Oakland County’s NOHAZ program. Township participation allows residents to dispose of household hazardous waste at one or more of each year’s NOHAZ events.
In 2014, 3,492 residents of participating communities safely disposed of 446,541 pounds of hazardous material, that may have otherwise founds its way into local landfills.
Residents of the Charter Township of Oakland pay $10.00 per car, per visit to dispose of their toxic waste.
