2015 Clean Scene
Mark your calendars for the 2015 Oakland Township Clean Scene event which will be held May 2nd.
Each year dedicated volunteers gather together on the first Saturday of May to help clear the rubbish hidden by winter’s snows. Participants gather at 9:00 am at the Township Hall for sign in, pick up and refreshments. Volunteers choose the roads they intend to clean before hand or are assigned a road on Clean Scene Day. After checking in, volunteers head to their morning’s trash collection. Volunteers with pick-up trucks are needed to patrol the township, collect the filled bags and bring them back to the compactor truck at Township Hall. When all the litter is in the bag, volunteers gather back at the hall for lunch and camaraderie.
