The Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commission  would like to invite you to an additional public design workshop which will be held at the Paint Creek Cider Mill on Thursday February 23rd at 6pm.  The purpose for the workshop is to modify the November 2022  design of the Stony Creek Ravine Nature Park Access Improvements to better match available funding sources.  Please see the attached workshop agenda.

In November 2022 we had fantastic turn outs for the Stony Creek Ravine Nature Park Design Workshops and PEA Group used those suggestions to create the attached preliminary plan and cost estimate which formed the basis for our 2022 grant applications.  The workshop goal is to retain the key features of the project while updating the project scope and/or dividing the project into phases to apply in 2023 for additional funding.

The current project scope is described in the December 2022 Spark Grant Application that can be found here:  https://cms4files1.revize.com/oakland/boards_and_commissions/parks_and_recreation/docs/PRC-SCRNP%20Spark%20Grant%20Application.pdf

Those unable to attend the design workshop can email comments with the subject heading “Stony Creek Ravine Nature Park Design Workshop” to parksplanning@oaklandtownship.org – preferably before the Feb. 23 workshop so that your comments might be included in the workshop discussion.

We appreciate your input and participation!
